The enormous crumbling chedi built in 1441 is surrounded by striking elephant and serpent statues. These snake-like animals are known as nagas: mythical creatures who guard temples of great value! Chiang Mai’s oldest temple is another must-see. Built in 1297, Wat Chiang Man houses two sacred and ancient Buddha statues. Be amazed by the Chang Lom chedi, known as the elephant chedi.
